Global Village reopens in mid-October for its new season — the open-air pavilions of 90-plus countries return, with shows, food and shopping through spring.

The heat breaks and the outdoor season reopens: beaches, desert safaris and sunsets by the Dubai Fountain come back to life (highs easing toward 35°C).

GITEX Global, one of the world's largest tech fairs, takes over the World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17, and on the 31st the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 begins.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships gathers the tour's top players — the WTA draw from February 15 to 21 and the ATP from the 23rd to the 28th — with global stars at the Aviation Club.
