Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated from November 6 to 10 (main day the 8th): the huge Indian community and Global Village light up with fireworks, bazaars and sweets.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 runs through November 29, with the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run closing Sheikh Zayed Road to traffic for thousands of cyclists and runners.
