Ramadan (through March 19) reshapes the nights — iftar tents, souqs and night markets come alive after sunset, and Eid al-Fitr (March 20-22) ends the fast with fireworks and family celebrations.

The Dubai World Cup runs at Meydan Racecourse on March 28: the world's richest race day marks its 30th edition, with US$30.5 million in prize money, high fashion and a full evening of racing.

These are the last comfortable weeks before the heat (highs of 29°C) — make the most of Global Village's final stretch and the beaches before May arrives.
