What to do in Krakow in noviembre
The editorial plan
Why Krakow in noviembre
On November 1, All Saints' Day, the Rakowicki Cemetery fills with thousands of znicze (grave lights) at dusk — a tide of light that's one of the year's most moving sights.
On November 11 people eat rogale, St Martin's croissants stuffed with white poppy seed, while Independence Day fills the streets with flags.
Late in the month the Christmas market lights up on the Main Market Square: the first stalls of grzaniec (mulled wine), grilled oscypek and spiced pierniki.
Krakow is worth visiting other months too
