Carnival on February 16 — the Gran Rúa gathers floats from all seven parishes and on Ash Wednesday food is shared in 'l'apart de la conòrida', a tradition recorded since 1777.

The deepest snowpack of the winter at Vallnord-Pal Arinsal and Ordino-Arcalís — dry powder above 2,500 m and reliably blue-sky days.

The coldest month (lows around -7°C) but also the driest of the year, with barely 38 mm of rain — stable conditions for skiing and a late-afternoon soak at Caldea.
